Simple Woman's Daybook: First Day

A couple of my blogger friends are doing this, and it looks pretty cool, so I think I'll jump on the proverbial bandwagon.

FOR TODAY

Outside my window...it's still sunny, but clouding up.

I am thinking...of everything I still want to accomplish before my husband gets home.

I am thankful for...the fact that my baby's appetite seems to be picking up.

From the kitchen...nothing yet, but I'll be making chicken and Stovetop Stuffing tonight.

I am wearing...my Chimney Rock t-shirt and a pair of loose-fitting jeans.

I am creating...nothing at the moment. I'm trying to decide what my next project will be.

I am going...to pray that I sleep better tonight than I did the last several nights.

I am reading...the Bible.

I am hoping...that I don't overcook the chicken tonight, as is my tendency with boneless, skinless chicken.

I am hearing...my husband's cat scratching in the litter box.

Around the house...it's pretty quiet because my daughter is napping.

One of my favorite things...is hearing my daughter's giggle.

A few plans for the rest of the week: Hopefully visit my parents, vacuum/mop the whole house, go for at least a few walks outside with my husband and daughter.

Here is picture for thought I am sharing...

  2. I hope you get a good night's sleep, too. If you have a slow cooker, it's the best thing for chicken. Never gets overdone. I think the slow cooker is the best invention of the 20th century.

Have a great time with your folks!
